Structure your quarter around three phases
A 90-day plan gives you enough time to test ideas and see real results, unlike a single month. Structure it as three connected phases rather than 12 disconnected weekly to-do lists.
Month 1: Build your foundation
Get your Google Business Profile, OnlineListing profile, and review generation system solid. This is the same foundational work as our 30-Day Marketing Plan — don't skip ahead to paid advertising before this is in place.
Month 2: Test two or three channels deliberately
Pick a small number of channels to actually test with intention — for example, consistent social posting plus one paid channel (local social ads, or boosted posts). Track results for each separately so you know what's actually working, using the Marketing ROI Calculator.
Testing five channels at once with a small budget usually produces weak, inconclusive results for all of them. Testing two or three with enough budget/effort to actually judge performance is more useful.
Month 3: Double down on what worked
Stop or reduce what didn't perform, and put more time/budget behind what did. This is also a good point to formalize a referral or loyalty program if your retention numbers suggest it would help.
Revisit your Client Retention and Rebooking Rate numbers at the end of month 3 — a good marketing quarter should show up in these numbers, not just in vanity metrics like follower count.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a marketing budget to follow this plan? No — much of this plan (Google Business Profile, reviews, organic social, referrals) is free. A budget expands your options in Month 2 but isn't required to see meaningful improvement.
What if nothing seems to be working by month 2? Revisit your foundation from month 1 before assuming your channels are the problem — an inaccurate Google listing or a weak review count can undermine even well-executed marketing.
